We are pleased to have been awarded 1st Place for Best Independant Retailer in Craigavon including Portadown, Lurgan and the surrounding
area! The competition was judged by mystery shoppers who have commented on our outstanding customer service. We are pleased to be recognised
for our acheivement as we had stiff competition from some very well run businesses in the local area.

We were highly commended for our recycling efforts and our selection of energy efficient equipment and suppliers.

The judges recognised that amongst Public, Community, Large Limted Organisations and private sole traders, that we had supported
our local economy significantly in providing jobs and sourcing our produce locally. We were amazed that John R. Dowey and Son was the only
private sole trader company to be selected out of all the entrants as a shortlisted finalist.

We are now selling ice cream! We have teamed up with local Ice Cream manufacturer, Glastry Farm from Kircubbin on the Ards Peninsula.
We have 7 different flavours and we
have waffle cones, biscuit cones, tubs and sundaes!

1st Place for Northern Ireland Steakburger
We are proud to announce our recently won competition for our steakburgers. We received first place in County Armagh and went on to win
1st Northern Ireland after much fierce competition from other well renowned butchers.
We aspire to continually improve our products and maintain the high quality standards we set ourselves.
1st Place for Pork Sausage - Product Innovation
We recently won 1st Place for Product innovation at Ulster Farmers Pork and Bacon Forum. We are proud to say
that we use guranteed Northern Ireland Pork supporting local industry. We believe our farmers produce some of the best
livestock in the UK and Ireland.
Our Pork Honeybee and Mustard sausage gained the accredition with terrific comments from the Judges.
Now Selling Olives
Olives are back, to enjoy in the warmer weather. Bring back that little bit of the Mediterranean. We also have sundried tomatoes,
and a variety of marinaded olives. Enjoy with a glass of wine or with a salad.
Coffee Shop Now Open
Our Coffee Shop opened in May 09. We have reviewed our menu several times to reflect the changes in season and
have added some hot food to endure the cold weather.
